#67: Defining Moments Through Adversity

"You didn't come this far to only come this far!" Whenever a roadblock or obstacle hits us, our first inclination is to stop working on the plan and give up. However, when we take a moment and give ourselves credit for what fears we have faced, and the positive that WILL come in our future, our mental strength will push us forward to completion.

This week I am sharing a guest interview I was asked to be part of for a podcast that shares personal stories to inspire others. My friend Amy and I get into talking about how to push past adversity to then leverage it for your greatness moving ahead. We get to chat about my own personal journey through adversity, which looked like going to prison, going through a divorce, and rebuilding my life out of the ashes of mistakes and failures. It’s a good reminder that while we can be down for the count, we don’t have to be out of the game. We get to choose to rise up and rebuild a life that is purpose-filled.

This podcast is a platform for a wonderful nonprofit based in Fort Wayne, Indiana called Paul's Place. This nonprofit seeks to provide the comfort and support of being at home while being away from home. Its main focus is for the caregivers and at times, adult patients that reside outside of Allen County but are receiving treatment at any of the Fort Wayne hospitals. Whether the adult patient is receiving treatment for cancer or any other life-threatening illnesses or medical conditions or has suffered a traumatic accident. Paul’s Place: Support for Families will provide a temporary, fully furnished apartment home away from home. Learn more about Paul's Place at https://www.paulsplace.org/
